NU MU SIGMA
ESTABLISHED ON January 22, 2022
The Southeastern Region Syntaktes, Dr. Celeste Levin chartered the Nu Mu Sigma Chapter in Hinesville, GA . It was culmination of efforts led by Soror Britney Walker and Soror Shirlonda Shepard. The ten charter members of the Nu Mu Sigma Chapter are Krystal Alexis, Candace Blair, Djuna Crowder, Melanie Harper , Carmen Jimenez- Pride, Desiree McDonald ,Myra Moore, Shirlonda Shepard, Britney Walker and Michelle Walton.

The Nu Mu Sigma Chapter members continue to embrace the sorority’s international thrust by planning and executing community-based activities
which support specific programs. These programs include Project Reassurance, a signature international program that exposes young women to uplifting experiences. In addition, the chapter strongly supports national partnerships with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the March of Dimes, Women Wellness , which educates women about the different types of cancer, its early detection, treatment, and research. The Nu Mu Sigma Chapter also supports Operation BigBookBag, a school supplies distribution program, and has worked in partnership with Project Reach GANG's Back to School Rally to make these items available to Liberty County school students.

Recognizing the vast needs of the Hinesville area, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Nu Mu Sigma Chapter welcomes opportunities and seeks to continue our standard of exemplary community service.
